Sasanaransi Buddhist Temple
It was built by a Burmese expatriate to serve the Burmese Buddhist community abroad and is therefore also known as the Burmese Buddhist temple. It was previously located in
Little India near Merlion Park, off Serangoon Road, and was moved to its current location in 1991. It is a multi-story building, the interiors of which are decorated with paintings depicting life events of Buddha and on the third floor is a standing gold image of Buddha. Surrounded by a halo of colored lights, a 3.3 m tall Buddha statue is constructed from a 10-ton block of marble.
